I got to the race location an hour before the race started. I milled around, entered contests, and listened to the breast cancer stories. I almost started crying on multiple occasions so I started my warm-up. It was also nice to get away from the 7000 walkers/runners.

They had a bag check. For a 5k! So fantastic for lonely runners like me :-D Espcially since it rained when I finsihed.

Maybe I only think this because I was towards the front, but the starting line was fantastic. The starting line was bisected - the left was the competitive side and the right was walkers. Such a great idea.

Overall Time: 23:32

I'm kind of disapointed with my time. I'll just work harder for next time.

That is a great idea for a start line.

For how many finishers there were, you were still in the top 5% for finishers. But I know what you mean about the disappointment (I'm almost always slightly disappointed in races). Use that disappointment for the next race. It looks like that's tomorrow!

Good luck!! Just start fast and hang on!
