I walked out of the apartment door to hear the song, "Eye of the Tiger" blaring outside. Usually this would be an awesome way to start a Sunday run. I turned the corner only to see the the starting line of a 5k race right in the middle of my planned route. Not knowing the proper etiquette, I decided to steer clear of that area all together. I also resisted the temptation to register for the race :-D In the end, I made up a route. My original route was 7.5 miles and I ended up running 8.5 miles at 9.02 mile pace. |
