I've been at my parents house in Maine for a week and a half - I drove all the way from Michigan! I know I said that I was going to start running more frequently again but I'm sorta having fun being really lazy for a change. Isn't that what summer is all about? I've got one year (hopefully) of grad school left and I'm ready to get things started.

I started this run way too fast and ended up walking the hill back to my house. I think I'm going to sign up for a 5k that is exactly a month from today. It's the first race that I ran in Michigan so it has some sentimental value. While I probably won't be winning my age group again, it was a really fun race and came with free massages and cupcakes afterward.

Free massages and cupcakes? You can't miss that one.

I'd be all over that, too. Sometimes it's easy to be lazy when there's no race looming. It's good that you have one now!
